Community Guidelines

DRAFT – not legal advice. This text must be reviewed before launch. StudentTask works because customers and students trust each other. These guidelines apply to everyone, in jobs, profiles, messages and reviews. Breaking them can lead to content being removed or an account being suspended or closed. Be respectful No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination, including on grounds of gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race or membership of the Traveller community. No sexual messages or requests. Be honest Describe jobs, skills, prices and availability accurately. Use your own identity and only one account. Do not upload someone else's documents or photos. Leave reviews only for jobs that happened, and never offer anything in return for a review. Keep it on StudentTask Agree jobs, changes and payments in the app. Do not ask for or offer payment outside StudentTask for a job found here, and do not share contact details to get around the platform before a job is agreed. Jobs that are not allowed - Anything illegal, including handling drugs, weapons or stolen goods, and buying alcohol or tobacco for anyone under 18. - Work that needs a licence, trade qualification or vetting the student does not hold, such as electrical, gas or roofing work. - Driving the customer's vehicle, or carrying passengers for payment. - Academic work for someone else, such as writing essays or sitting exams. - Jobs that put anyone at serious risk of injury. - Adult services of any kind. Look after each other Turn up when you said you would, and give as much notice as you can if plans change. Treat each other's homes and belongings with care. If something goes wrong, talk about it in the messages and report it if you cannot sort it out. Reporting Report a person, a job or a message from its page or from the Support page. Reports are reviewed by the StudentTask team.
